JESUS HEALS A BOY

Bible Background
Jesus was in the city of Cana in the Province of Galilee, when a government official came to ask for help. He wanted Jesus to heal his child who was close to death. The government official was from the city of Capernaum, seven hours walk from Cana. He begged the Lord Jesus to come and heal his child. But Jesus didn’t go. Jesus wanted to increase the faith of the government official. Instead, Jesus said, “Go, your child lives!”
The Lord Jesus directed him to go without any proof at all. The government official look Jesus at his word left believing. The Lord Jesus has the power to do all things men ask of him, but he wants to increase the faith of those who come to him for help.
The Faith of the government official was strengthened even more when he heard from his servants that the healing of his child occurred exactly at the moment the Lord Jesus spoke to him, “Go, your child lives!”
The Result of this experience was that his whole family came to believe in the Lord Jesus.
